The landscape architecture project for the Casablanca Urbanisation in Pozuelo de Alarcón, Madrid was carried out in a development of 168 homes with 5 hectares of landscaped outdoor spaces. The landscaping project seeks to create a framework and space for leisure and recreation for all the inhabitants of the development.

The project is based on an ecological premise, whereby the grey water from the homes is used for irrigation after being channelled to the lakes which, in addition to acting as biofilters, articulate the landscape.

The landscaping project is made up of large lakes that run throughout the plot. Around the lakes, large patches of perennials and grasses have been planted, as well as a variety of trees that generate a dynamic space.

While the design and materials unify the project area, the meandering paths that run along it provide variety and allow the garden to be enjoyed in different locations: sunny areas, shaded areas, open or more exposed areas and intimate and protected areas.
